Regular Season Round 17: Megaridas - Iraklis 75-80

Very expected game in Megara where 10th ranked Megaridas (8-8) was defeated by fourth ranked Iraklis (11-6) 80-75 on Sunday. Dutch Nikos Paparegkas (200-1994) stepped up and scored 21 points for the winners and American swingman Kevion Taylor (196-1999, college: Valpo) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. Dimitrios Geromichalos responded with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Jackson Dubinski (185-1996, college: Columbia, MO, agency: Mansfield and Associates) scored 11 points and 5 assists. Four Megaridas players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Iraklis moved-up to third place, which they share with Maroussi. Megaridas lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with eight games lost. Iraklis will meet at home Aias Evosmou (#13) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Megaridas will play against Amyntas in Athens and hope to secure a win.
