There was an upset in Roma where higher ranked Agrigento (10-10) was defeated by twelfth ranked RO SAzzurra (6-13) 76-63 on Sunday. RO SAzzurra made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. RO SAzzurra outrebounded Agrigento 36-24 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Serbian Lazar Nikolic (201-1999, college: Colorado, agency: BeoBasket) stepped up and scored 5 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and guard Matteo Visintin (189-2004) chipped in 12 points. Four RO SAzzurra players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was point guard Alessandro Grande (185-1994) with 18 points and Ghanian-American Kevin Marfo (206-1997, college: Quinnipiac) scored 9 points and 6 rebounds. RO SAzzurra moved-up to tenth place. Newly promoted Agrigento dropped to the fifth position with ten games lost. They share it with Milano Urania and Piacenza. RO SAzzurra will meet higher ranked Milano Urania (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Agrigento will play against the league's second-placed Torino where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
