Very predictable result in Poznan where second ranked Gornik (19-6) smashed 12th ranked Enea Basket (11-14) 85-66 on Sunday. They outrebounded Enea Basket 38-24 including a 27-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Gornik looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Enea Basket's players. American forward Arinze Chidom (206-1997, college: UC Riverside) fired 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. The former international center Piotr Niedzwiedzki (211-1993) chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Point guard Patryk Stankowski (177-1997) produced 9 points and 7 assists and Michal Wielechowski (198-1994) added 15 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gornik have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader. Newly promoted Enea Basket keeps the twelfth place with 14 games lost. They share the position with Krakow. Gornik will meet at home WKK (#14) in the next round which should be an easy win for them.
