Regular Season Round 19: Monopoli AN - Salerno 60-81

No shocking result in a game when eleventh ranked Salerno (8-11) smashed on the road 13th ranked Monopoli AN (6-13) 81-60 on Sunday. It was a great evening for forward Dario Zucca (203-1996) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 9 rebounds. Swingman Niccolo Moffa (200-1999) helped adding 18 points. Four Salerno players scored in double figures. At the losing side San Marino swingman Gioele Moretti (190-1993) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds and forward Kevin Cusenza (200-1993) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Salerno moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 6 other teams. Loser Monopoli AN dropped to the fourteenth position with 13 games lost. Salerno will meet at home higher ranked Taranto (#8) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Monopoli AN will play against the league's second-placed RO Luiss (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
