Regular Season Round 18: Hogsbo 2 - Nassjo 2 96-83

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Hogsbo 2 (11-4) defeated 7th ranked Nassjo 2 (5-10) in Goteborg 96-83 on Sunday. Hogsbo 2 forced 19 Nassjo 2 turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Forward Jesper Hallberg (201-1995) notched 33 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and point guard Efraim Kouame-Palm (188-2004) supported him with 10 points, 13 rebounds and 9 assists. Hogsbo 2's coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even a double-double of 18 points and 17 rebounds by Morris Ntihabose did not help to save the game for Nassjo 2. Jacob Soderlund added 16 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 7 steals. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hogsbo 2 have an impressive five-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with KFUM Lidingo. Newly promoted Nassjo 2 keeps the seventh place with ten games lost. Hogsbo 2 will meet at home league's second-placed Malbas in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Nassjo 2 will play against Marbo (#4) and hope to secure a win.
