Very important is a road loss of third ranked Mulhouse (16-9) against eighth ranked SOPCC (13-12) on Tuesday night. Visiting Mulhouse was defeated by SOPCC in Pont de Cheruy 88-77. SOPCC looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. DR Congolese Yasmin Mambo (205-2002) nailed 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and Seydou Ousmane Ndiaye (196-2000) accounted for 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Frederic Loubaki (195-1997) came up with 13 points and 5 assists and forward Yannis Mendy (203-1996, college: RMU, agency: Helping Ballers) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Mulhouse in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. SOPCC moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Lorient. Loser Mulhouse dropped to the fourth position with nine games lost. They share it with Toulouse. SOPCC will meet higher ranked Andrezieux (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Mulhouse will play against Pontoise and hope to secure a win.
