Regular Season Round 25: Poitiers - Les Sables 69-59

There was no surprise when 13th ranked Les Sables (8-17) lost on the road to sixth ranked Poitiers (15-10) 69-59 on Tuesday. Poitiers outrebounded Les Sables 31-20. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Canadian-Nigerian guard Keith Omoerah (194-1992, college: Manitoba, agency: BIG) nailed 10 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and center Jonathan Jeanne (218-1997) accounted for 8 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Poitiers' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Brahim Dohou (194-1999) came up with 22 points (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) and power forward Gregory Lessort (198-1985) added 11 points respectively for Les Sables in the defeat. Poitiers moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Le Havre. Loser Les Sables keeps the thirteenth position with 17 games lost. Poitiers will meet Berck (#11) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Les Sables will play against the league's second-placed Union Rennes and hope to secure a win.
