Everything went according to plan when twelfth ranked Berck (9-16) edged 14th ranked CFBB (3-22) in Paris 78-76 on Tuesday. Berck forced 19 CFBB turnovers. American forward Kayode Ajenifuja (195-1993, college: Mercyhurst) nailed 16 points for the winning side and power forward Luidgy Laporal (206-1995, college: SFU) accounted for 14 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Forward Maxim Logue (203-2005) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) and Ilane Fibleuil (193-2005) added 13 points and 4 assists respectively for CFBB in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Berck have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Tarbes-Lourdes and Cergy-Pontoise. CFBB lost twelfth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with 22 games lost. Berck will meet at home higher ranked Poitiers (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
