Regular Season Round 18: Iraklis - Aias Evosmou 66-75

The most important game in the last round took place in Thessaloniki between third ranked Iraklis (11-7) and thirteenth ranked Aias Evosmou (7-11) on Wednesday night. Iraklis was defeated by Aias Evosmou in a tough game at home 66-75. Aias Evosmou looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American players dominated the game. It was a good game for center Kyree Walker (198-2000) who led his team to a victory with 31 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Tyus Jefferson (185-1997, college: Alberta) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 9 rebounds and 11 assists for the winners. Guard Tyre Gathright (193-1996, college: St.Augustine) replied with 19 points and swingman Kevion Taylor (196-1999, college: Valpo) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Iraklis. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Aias Evosmou moved-up to twelfth place. Iraklis at the other side dropped to the fourth position with seven games lost. They share it with Papagou and Psychikou. Aias Evosmou are looking forward to face Amyntas (#15) in Athens in the next round. Iraklis will play against Ermis S. (#10) and is hoping to win this game.
