Regular Season Round 15: Batumi - Olimpi 79-94

Leader Olimpi delivered the tenth victory on Wednesday night. This time they beat 6th ranked Batumi (7-7) 94-79. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Batumi. The game was mostly controlled by Olimpi. Batumi managed to win third quarter 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 17-of-17 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. Olimpi looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The game was also dominated by American players. It was a great evening for point guard Dru Kuxhausen (183-1998, college: N.Colorado) who led his team to a victory scoring 30 points and 7 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Forward Linton Acliese III (201-1998, college: EWU) helped adding 18 points and 9 rebounds. The best for the losing side was guard Kyle Riddley (192-1996, college: Pfeiffer) with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Brandon Alston (196-1995, college: Georgia Tech, agency: GoEmpire Group) scored 18 points and 4 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Olimpi have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 10-3 record. Loser Batumi keeps the sixth position with seven games lost. Olimpi's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tbilisi TSU.
