Very important is a road loss of second ranked Cactus (9-5) against tenth ranked Mega (5-9) on Wednesday night. Visiting Cactus were defeated by Mega in a tough game in Tbilisi 62-69. The hosts were already 11 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 22-18 Cactus' run in the last quarter cut the lead to 69-62 at the end of the game. The game was dominated by American players. It was a good game for point guard Ronnie Rousseau III (175-1995, college: Antelope Valley) who led his team to a victory with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Power forward Marqus Gilson (196, college: CWU) contributed with 10 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Mega players scored in double figures. Guard Ryan Allen (188-1998, college: Delaware) answered with 24 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Jason Copman (198-1998, college: Dominican, NY) added 3 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Cactus. Mega moved-up to ninth place. Cactus lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. Mega will play against higher ranked Delta (#7) in Gurjaani in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Cactus' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tbilisi Titebi.
