Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Tbilisi: Wings (#1) and Brooklyn (#6). Wings (5-0) smashed visiting Brooklyn (0-4) by 37 points 75-38. The game without a history. Wings led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Brooklyn to just 4 points in third quarter. Wings dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Brooklyn's 26. Wings forced 29 Brooklyn turnovers and outrebounded them 53-27 including a 18-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for forward Giorgi Nikolaevi (198-2007) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 18 rebounds. Guard Andria Mdinaradze (180-2006) contributed with 19 points and 4 steals for the winners. Forward Dachi Meshveldishvili (195-2007) replied with 7 points and 7 rebounds and forward Giorgi Abutidze (188-2005) added 10 points in the effort for Brooklyn. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Wings have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 5-0 record. Brooklyn at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Telavi and Gori. Wings' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tbilisi to the arena Sokhumi.
