Regular Season Round 22: Slask 3 - Gimbasket 77-72

There was no surprise in Wroclaw where 16th ranked Gimbasket (1-21) was defeated by ninth ranked Slask 3 (10-12) 77-72 on Wednesday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Strangely Gimbasket outrebounded Slask 3 43-31 including 17 on the offensive glass. Center Karol Kankowski (202-2005) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Guard Piotr Gorecki (188-2004) chipped in 14 points and 6 steals. Forward Jakub Lewandowski (203-2001) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 18 rebounds and forward Pawel Galczynski (195-1998) added 20 points and 13 rebounds respectively for lost side. Slask 3 moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Gimbasket lost nineteenth consecutive game. They keep the sixteenth position with 21 games lost. They share it with Wisla Krakow. Slask 3 will meet Gorzow (#13) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Gimbasket will play against Koscian and hope to win that game.
