Regular Season Round 17: IR - Haukar 88-95

Very predictable result in Reykjavik where fourth ranked Haukar (12-5) beat 11th ranked IR (4-13) 95-88 on Thursday. The guests trailed by 10 points after three quarters before their 32-15 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Danish forward Daniel Mortensen (204-1994, college: Barry) stepped up and scored 22 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and American point guard Dee Davis (178-1993, college: Xavier) chipped in 29 points and 5 assists. American forward Taylor Johns (201-1994, college: UC Riverside, agency: Slash Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and Estonian guard Martin Paasoja (190-1993, agency: Helping Ballers) scored 20 points and 9 rebounds. Four Haukar and five IR players scored in double figures. Haukar moved-up to third place, which they share with Keflavik. Loser IR keeps the eleventh position with 13 games lost. Haukar will meet at home league's leader Njardvik in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. IR will play against Thor Thorl (#7) in Thorlakshofn and hope to secure a win.
