The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Gornik as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Gornik smashed 14th ranked WKK in Walbrzych 96-74. Gornik dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to WKK's 30. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Michal Sitnik (199-2000) who scored 16 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international center Piotr Niedzwiedzki (211-1993) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds. Point guard Tomasz Ochonko (183-1986, agency: BIG) produced 16 points and 8 assists and swingman Dominik Rutkowski (194-1998) added 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Four Gornik and five WKK players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Gornik (20-6) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. WKK at the other side keeps the fourteenth place with 16 games lost. They share the position with Slask 2. WKK will play next round against AZS PO trying to get back on the winning streak. Gornik will try to continue on its current victory against twelfth ranked SGH in Krakow.
