Very expected game when 7th ranked Mantova (8-11) was smashed on the road by second ranked Scrivia (17-2) 73-52 on Friday. Scrivia outrebounded Mantova 47-31 including a 38-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Mantova's players. It was an exceptional evening for Croatian Nina Premasunac (187-1992, agency: LBM Management) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 15 rebounds. Sofia Marangoni (177-1995) accounted for 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Swingman Marida Orazzo (175-1994, agency: LBM Management) came up with 18 points and 5 rebounds and naturalized Argentinian power forward Florencia Llorente (182-1992) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Mantova in the defeat. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Scrivia. They maintain second place with 17-2 record having just three point less than leader Milano. Loser Mantova dropped to the eighth position with 11 games lost. Scrivia will meet Broni (#5) on the road in the next round.
