Regular Season Round 19: Aridane - La Solana 79-80

There was a surprise result in Los Llanos where thirteenth ranked La Solana (5-12) edged higher ranked Aridane (8-9) 80-79 on Friday. Strangely Aridane outrebounded La Solana 47-34 including 32 on the defensive glass. Naturalized Dominican guard Sdenry Gonzalez (187-2002) fired 26 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Alejandro Talamino (190-2000) chipped in 22 points. Point guard Alejandro Orozco (189-2004) produced 25 points and Oriol Balsells (187-1995) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Four Aridane players scored in double figures. Aridane's coach Rafael Sanz rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. La Solana moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Quart-Germans C and Pinto Basket. Aridane at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the eighth position with nine games lost. They share it with Guimar and Valsequillo. La Solana will meet at home higher ranked Zentro Basket (#7) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Aridane will play against Estudio in Madrid and hope to secure a win.
