The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Milano as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Milano defeated 5th ranked Broni at home 62-51. Milano made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Milano outrebounded Broni 45-31 including 35 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Brazilian swingman Tayara Madonna (170-1991) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Dutch center Richelle Van Der Keijl (196-1993, college: N.Mexico) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Forward Ilaria Bonvecchio (172-1994) answered with 6 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Giulia Manzotti (178-1993) added 11 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Broni. Broni's coach Michael Magagnoli rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Milano (17-1) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Broni at the other side keeps the fifth place with nine games lost. They share the position with San Salvatore. Broni will play next round against strong Scrivia trying to get back on the winning streak. Milano will try to continue on its current victory against ninth ranked Trieste on the road.
