Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Kobrat (13-15) and Korihait (9-19), which took place in Lapua. 8th ranked Kobrat lost at home to eleventh ranked Korihait 79-92 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Korihait. Kobrat managed to win second period 25-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Kobrat 28-17 including 22 on the defensive glass. Korihait looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Canadian forward Prince Oduro (203-1998, college: Detroit) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and American swingman Jalen Jackson (198-1994, college: UALR) supported him with 14 points and 4 assists. Korihait's coach Tero Vasell used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 26 points and 8 assists by American guard KJ Jackson (188-1998, college: UMBC) did not help to save the game for Kobrat. His fellow American import power forward Javion Ogunyemi (206-1995, college: Siena) added 15 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Korihait maintains eleventh position with 9-19 record. Loser Kobrat dropped to the sixth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Kotka and Pyrinto. Korihait will meet at home higher ranked Nokia (#7) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Kobrat will play against Pyrinto in Tampere and hope to secure a win.
