Regular Season Round 23: Rybnik - Bielsko-Biala 75-64

There was a small surprise when seventh ranked Rybnik (16-8) defeated at home their close opponent Bielsko-Biala (16-8) 75-64 on Saturday. It was a great evening for Igor Lewandowski (185-2003) who led his team to a victory scoring 28 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Marcin Kosiorowski (181-2005) helped adding 17 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Wojciech Zub (181-1995) responded with 20 points and 6 rebounds and Piotr Lucka (194-1996) scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Bielsko-Biala's coach Grzegorz Blotko let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Rybnik have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Bielsko-Biala and Pyra. Rybnik will meet Wisla Krakow (#16) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bielsko-Biala will play against UR Krakow (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
