Regular Season Round 23: Iskra Cz - Resovia 63-103

Not a big story in a game in Czestochowa where 8th ranked Iskra Cz (10-14) was outplayed by third ranked Resovia (18-6) 103-63 on Saturday. Resovia dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Iskra Cz's 28. They outrebounded Iskra Cz 49-36 including 35 on the defensive glass. Resovia looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a great evening for guard Cezary Guminski (192-1994) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 5 rebounds. Power forward Wojciech Watroba (210-1997) helped adding 12 points and 10 rebounds. Four Resovia players scored in double figures. Resovia's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players saving starting five for next games. Point guard Adrian Placzek (182-1985) responded with 26 points and center Wojciech Szostak (200-2000) scored 2 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Resovia have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Newly promoted Resovia maintains third place with 18-6 record despite having the same number of points like the leader AZS AWF Mick., which they share with UR Krakow. Loser Iskra Cz dropped to the tenth position with 14 games lost. They share it with WKK 2. Resovia will meet at home league's leader Mickiewicz in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Iskra Cz will play against the league's second-placed Przemysl (#2) and hope to secure a win.
