Rather predictable result when third ranked Costa Masnaga (16-3) won against on the road 6th ranked Treviso (9-10) 69-63 on Saturday. Costa Masnaga shot 21 for 29 from the free-throw line, while Treviso only scored three points from the stripe. It was an exceptional evening for German forward Patricia Brossmann (183-1997, college: San Diego) who led the winners and scored 9 points and 18 rebounds. Point guard Elena Fietta (171-1995) accounted for 19 points for the winning side. Naturalized Argentinian swingman Macarena Rosset (178-1991) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and Cecilia Zagni (180-1995) added 15 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Treviso in the defeat. The victory was the eleventh consecutive win for Costa Masnaga. They maintain third place with 16-3 record having just one victory less than leader Milano. Loser Treviso keeps the sixth position with ten games lost. They share it with Carugate. Costa Masnaga will meet at home Alpo (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
