The game between third ranked Arka Gdynia (11-8) and sixth ranked Poznan (10-8) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Arka Gdynia was defeated by Poznan in Poznan 79-68. American guard Alecia Sutton (173-1998, college: Texas) fired 22 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Her fellow American import forward Maya Dodson (191-1999, college: Notre Dame) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds. Four Poznan players scored in double figures. Arka Gdynia's coach Jelena Skerovic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Poznan moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Sosnowiec. Arka Gdynia at the other side keeps the third position with eight games lost. Poznan is looking forward to face league's second-placed Polkowice on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Arka Gdynia will play against Wroclaw and is hoping to win this game.
