Regular Season Round 19: Asker Aliens - Tromso 69-95

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Asker Aliens (5-22) were outplayed at home by fourth ranked Tromso (17-10) 95-69 on Saturday. Tromso forced 29 Asker Aliens turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Point guard Johannes Lange (182-1998) fired a double-double by scoring 11 points, 7 rebounds and 13 assists for the winners. American forward Billy McDonald (198-1994, college: Caldwell) chipped in 28 points. Four Tromso players scored in double figures. American guard Abdullah Yusuf (188, college: Fredonia St.) produced a double-double by scoring 23 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists and Eldar Alagic (-2004) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Tromso. They maintain fourth place with 17-10 record, which they share with Froya Basket. Asker Aliens lost their third game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 22 games lost. Tromso will meet at home higher ranked Fyllingen (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Asker Aliens will play against Nidaros Jets (#11) in Tromdheim and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
