Regular Season Round 13: Angers - Bourges 65-75

LFB top team - Bourges (11-2) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat ninth ranked Angers (4-9) 75-65. Bourges made 21-of-26 charity shots (80.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Angers turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Serbian-American guard Yvonne Anderson (170-1990, college: Texas) stepped up and scored 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and Latvian center Anete Steinberga (190-1990, college: UTEP) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side the former international center Jodie Cornelie-Sigmundova (193-1993, college: Dayton) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and American point guard Alexis Peterson (173-1995, college: Syracuse) scored 15 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Five Bourges and four Angers players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bourges have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 11-2 record, which they share with Lyon. Angers at the other side dropped to the tenth position with nine games lost. Bourges will play against Tarbes (#8) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Angers will play against Hainaut in Saint-Amand and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
