There was an upset in Vitoria-Gasteiz where higher ranked Araski (11-11) was defeated by eleventh ranked IDK Eustotren (10-12) 81-73 on Sunday. IDK Eustotren shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. The best player for the winners was Romanian forward Claudia Cuic (182-1989) who scored 22 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Natalia Rodriguez (173-1999) chipped in 15 points and 7 assists. Four IDK Eustotren players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Tanaya Atkinson (183-1996, college: Temple) who recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import center Chatrice White (190-1996, college: FSU) added 7 points and 7 rebounds respectively. IDK Eustotren moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Bembibre. Araski at the other side keeps the fifth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Estudiantes and Gernika. IDK Eustotren will meet at home Cadi La Seu (#11) in the next round. Araski will play against Jairis (#15) in Alcantarilla and hope to secure a win.
