Sant Josep shot 18 for 27 from the free-throw line, while Almeda only scored one point from the stripe. Sant Josep forced 24 Almeda turnovers. Senegalese forward Aya Traore (188-1983, college: Purdue) fired 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Patricia Vicente (176-1998) chipped in 10 points. Center Cristina Pujol (178-1995) produced 9 points and 5 rebounds and Alba Barneda (-2003) added 7 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sant Josep moved-up to third place, which they share with Almeria. Loser Almeda keeps the seventh position with nine games lost. Sant Josep will meet at home Lleida (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Almeda will play against Aranguren and hope to secure a win.
