Regular Season Round 20: Campobasso - Brescia 78-76
Date: February 19, 2023
Very predictable result when seventh ranked Campobasso (11-9) edged at home bottom-ranked Brescia (2-19) 78-76 on Sunday. However just two-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Robyn Parks (185-1992, college: VCU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and Ecuadorian Blanca Quinonez (186-2006) who added 17 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Campobasso's coach Domenico Sabatelli used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Carlotta Zanardi (180-2005) responded with 24 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and American guard Brooke Johnson (183-1996, college: UNLV) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. Four Brescia players scored in double figures. Campobasso moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Ragusa. Brescia lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 19 lost games. Campobasso will meet league's leader Schio on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Brescia will play against Moncalieri (#11) and hope to secure a win.
