There was no surprise in Aanekoski where 8th ranked HBA-Marsky (8-11) was defeated by fifth ranked Kipina (11-7) 88-75 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 13 points. Kipina made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Kipina outrebounded HBA-Marsky 54-38 including 23 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Chris Paul (199, college: St.Anselm) who had a triple-double by scoring 21 points, 17 rebounds and 12 assists. Forward Sami Mantymaa (193-1988) chipped in 25 points. Four Kipina players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kipina moved-up to fourth place, which they share with HNMKY.
