Very predictable result in Novelda where sixth ranked Benidorm (11-6) edged bottom-ranked Jorge Juan (0-18) 71-68 on Sunday. They outrebounded Jorge Juan 46-29 including a 22-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Power forward Didier Closset (200-1998) fired 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Forward Fabio Astilleros (195-1994) chipped in 9 points and 9 rebounds. Mateo Fernandez (-1995) produced 22 points and 7 rebounds and Antonio Garcia (-1994) added 8 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Benidorm have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Girona B. Newly promoted Jorge Juan still closes the standings with 18 games lost. They share the position with Covadonga.
