Regular Season Round 18: Kristika Turku - Bisons 54-98

1st Division A top team - Bisons (15-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed twelfth ranked Kristika Turku (4-15) in Turun 98-54. The game without a history. Bisons led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Kristika Turku's 30. Bisons forced 28 Kristika Turku turnovers. Canadian point guard Tevaun Kokko (182, college: TMU) notched 26 points and 6 assists to lead the effort and center Aapeli Syrjamaki (214) supported him with 16 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Five Bisons players scored in double figures. Even 19 points and 7 rebounds by forward Joona Airenne (200) did not help to save the game for Kristika Turku. Swingman Teemu Sulonen (188-1994) added 12 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bisons have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 15-3 record. Kristika Turku lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 15 games lost. Bisons will play against ToPo Juniorit (#6) in Helsinki in the next round where they are favorite. Kristika Turku will have a break next round.
