Regular Season Round 13: Tarbes - BLMA 71-74

Eighth-ranked Tarbes (5-8) used its home court advantage to challenge fourth ranked BLMA (10-3) on Sunday. The visitors from Montpellier managed to secure only three-point victory 74-71. However their fans expected much easier game. Worth to mention a great performance of Belgian center Kyara Linskens (193-1996, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. American forward Haley Peters (190-1992, college: Duke) contributed with 16 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four BLMA players scored in double figures. The former international center Ana Tadic (197-1998, agency: Basket Promotion Agency) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international forward Marie-Paule Foppossi (185-1998, college: URI) added 15 points and 5 assists in the effort for Tarbes. BLMA moved-up to third place, which they share with Villeneuve. Tarbes at the other side dropped to the seventh position with eight games lost. They share it with Hainaut and Landes. BLMA is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Toulouse (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Tarbes will play against the league's leader Bourges (#1) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
