Very predictable result in Nes Ziyona where sixth ranked Ironi Nes-Ziona (9-8) defeated bottom-ranked Gilboa Galil (3-14) 104-90 on Monday. Ironi Nes-Ziona dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Gilboa Galil's 36. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was guard Shaq Buchanan (190-1997, college: Murray St.) who scored 26 points. Forward Tyler Bey (201-1998, college: Colorado, agency: Agency) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. Five Ironi Nes-Ziona players scored in double figures. Guard Tony Carr (196-1997, college: Penn St., agency: Octagon Europe) produced 34 points (!!!) and 9 assists (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!) and forward Robert Franks (201-1996, college: WSU) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Gilboa Galil's coach rotated ten players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ironi Nes-Ziona maintains sixth place with 9-8 record. Loser Gilboa Galil dropped to the bottom position with 14 games lost. They share it with H.Eilat. Ironi Nes-Ziona will meet E.Kiryat Ata (#10) on the road in the next round.
