Regular Season Round 21: Widzew - J.Gora 60-46

There was a surprise result in Lodz where tenth ranked Widzew (6-13) won against higher ranked J.Gora (11-8) 60-46 on Wednesday. Widzew forced 20 J.Gora turnovers. The best player for the winners was guard Anna Kudelska (169-1998) who scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Natalia Gzinka (178-1998) chipped in 8 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Widzew's coach Anna Chodera allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Aleksandra Lorenz (186-1999) who recorded 14 points and 8 rebounds and Alicja Szloser (179-1997) added 10 points and 5 assists respectively. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Widzew. They maintain tenth place with 6-13 record, which they share with Wolomin. J.Gora lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. They share it with Rybnik. Widzew will meet higher ranked Pol.Krakow (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. J.Gora will play against Katy Wrocl. and hope to secure a win.
