Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Kotwica (16-11) defeated 11th ranked Decka (13-14) in Kolobrzeg 79-68 on Saturday. It was an exceptional evening for Mikolaj Kurpisz (203-1998) who led the winners and scored 6 points and 12 rebounds. Naturalized American point guard James Washington (182-1987, college: MTSU) accounted for 12 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Forward Krystian Tyszka (198-1998) came up with 13 points and 7 rebounds and guard Wojciech Dzierzak (185-2001) added 11 points respectively for Decka in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Kotwica maintains sixth place with 16-11 record. Loser Decka keeps the eleventh position with 14 games lost. Kotwica will meet Miast Szkla (#10) in the next round. Decka will play against Dziki and hope to secure a win.
