Regular Season Round 20: Logrono - Unicaja 60-64

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when eighth ranked Unicaja (10-9) beat on the road 7th ranked Logrono (9-9) 64-60 on Saturday. They outrebounded Logrono 40-27 including 30 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Fatou Filor who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and Luxembourg Marija Stojiljkovic (190-1998) who added 15 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Point guard Maria Gonzalez (175-1998) responded with 12 points and 5 assists and guard Elena Salcedo (176-1990) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Unicaja moved-up to sixth place. Loser Logrono dropped to the eighth position with nine games lost. Unicaja will meet at home league's second-placed Almeria in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Logrono will play against the league's leader CD Talent (#1) in Parbayon and hope to secure a win and be promoted back to the LF Challenge just one year after relegation.
