No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Gernika (12-11) smashed on the road 14th ranked Leganes (7-15) 76-53 on Saturday. Gernika forced 21 Leganes turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Gernika especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. American swingman Brooque Williams (172-1989, college: California, PA) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international point guard Sandra Ygueravide (172-1984) chipped in 12 points and 7 assists during the contest. At the losing side American center Vionise Pierre-Louis (193-1995, college: Oklahoma) responded with 11 points and 4 assists and Serbian center Masa Jankovic (187-2000) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. Gernika moved-up to fifth place. Loser Leganes dropped to the fifteenth position with 15 games lost. Gernika will meet at home Bembibre (#11) in the next round where they are favorite. Leganes will play against Avenida (#3) in Salamanca and hope to secure a win.
