Second Stage Round 4: CBK Kosice - Young Angels 68-91

Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Kosice: Young Angels (#5) and CBK Kosice (#6). CBK Kosice was smashed at home by 23 points 68-91 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Deijah Blanks (178, college: St.Edward's) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 5 rebounds and center Diana Mikovcakova (185-2000) who added 14 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Lucia Kasperanova (175-1998) responded with 26 points and center Natalia Tomajkova (188-2005) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Young Angels (5-0) have an impressive five-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Piestanske C. Newly promoted CBK Kosice keeps the sixth place with two games lost. Young Angels will play against bottom-ranked BB UMB (#8) in Banska Bystrica in the next round and are hoping to win another game. CBK Kosice will play on the road against Poprad and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
