No shocking result in a game in Tabernes Blanques where tenth ranked Tabernes (8-12) defeated 14th ranked Jovens (3-16) 66-60 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Tabernes shot 31 for 42 from the free-throw line, while Jovens only scored fifteen points from the stripe. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Marcos Reos (189-2002) who helped to win the game recording 8 points and 9 rebounds and Manuel Aroca (191-1991) who added 12 points during the contest. Victor Prada (-1997) responded with 11 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Bernat Mondragon (178-1996) scored 7 points and 7 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Tabernes maintains tenth position with 8-12 record. Jovens lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the thirteenth place with 16 games lost. They share the position with Almozara and Valladolid. Tabernes will meet higher ranked Picken Claret (#6) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
