Everything went according to plan when third ranked Sueca (14-6) edged at home 7th ranked Aldaia (9-11) 52-49 on Saturday. However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Sueca had a 32-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Sergio Cecilia (198-2000) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and Senegalese Pape Faye (-1999) who added 9 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Sueca's coach used entire bench in such tough game. Carlos Hortelano (200-1996) responded with 14 points and 7 rebounds and forward Ricardo Carrion (197-1991) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Sueca maintains third position with 14-6 record having just three points less than leader Huelva CD, which they share with Esportiu. Loser Aldaia dropped to the ninth place with 11 games lost. Sueca will meet Torrent (#5) on the road in the next round. Aldaia will play against Esportiu (#4) and hope to secure a win.
