LFB top team - Bourges (12-2) added another victory to their record on Saturday. This time they beat eighth ranked Tarbes (5-9) 70-64. Bourges forced 20 Tarbes turnovers. Latvian center Anete Steinberga (190-1990, college: UTEP) scored 19 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international point guard Alix Duchet (165-1997) chipped in 12 points and 6 assists during the contest. Bourges' coach Olivier Lafargue used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Marie Pardon (177-2001, agency: Basket Promotion Agency) responded with 6 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and the former international center Isabelle Yacoubou (190-1986) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Four Tarbes players scored in double figures. Bourges have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 12-2 record, which they share with Lyon. Tarbes at the other side keeps the eighth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Hainaut and Angers. Bourges is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Toulouse (#12) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Tarbes will play against Hainaut (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
