There was a small surprise when eighth ranked Castelldefels (10-9) won against at home 6th ranked Mataro Parc (10-9) 81-74 on Sunday. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Eric Manes (194-1987) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 13 rebounds and Marc Manes (196-1986) who added 11 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Castelldefels' coach used an eleven-player rotation saving starting five for next games. Swingman Albert Serra (193-1993) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Bernat Alvarez (176-1995) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Castelldefels moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 9 other teams including defeated Mataro Parc. Castelldefels will meet Almozara (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Mataro Parc will play against Joventut 2 (#9) and hope to secure a win.
