No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Zak (15-12) crushed bottom-ranked Start 2 (1-25) in Lublin 116-74 on Sunday. Zak dominated down low during the game scoring 82 of its points in the paint compared to Start 2's 42. Zak forced 32 Start 2 turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Start 2's players. It was an exceptional evening for Wojciech Pisarczyk (201-1988) who led the winners and scored 21 points, 5 assists and 4 steals (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Center Sebastian Rompa (210-2001) accounted for 15 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. Five Zak players scored in double figures. Norbert Ziolko (189-1999) came up with 28 points and power forward Milosz Ziolkowski (202-2003) added 10 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Start 2 in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Zak moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Opole. Start 2 lost their eighteenth game in a row. They stay dead last with 25 lost games. Zak will meet at home Slask (#15) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Start 2 will play against the league's leader Gornik where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
