Regular Season Round 16: Montenegro - SC Derby 2 66-72

The most important game in the last round took place in between second ranked Montenegro (11-4) and fifth ranked SC Derby 2 (10-3) on Sunday night. Montenegro was defeated by SC Derby 2 in a tough game at home 66-72. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Montenegro. SC Derby 2 made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. 25 personal fouls committed by Montenegro helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of David Mirkovic (200-2006) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Turkish forward Demir Dogan (201-2006) contributed with 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Five SC Derby 2 players scored in double figures. Center Nikola Bojicic (198-2001) replied with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and Petar Visnjic added 10 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Montenegro. Montenegro's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. SC Derby 2 have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Montenegro at the other side keeps the second position with four games lost. They share it with Podgorica 2. SC Derby 2 are looking forward to face league's leader Pljevlja at home in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Montenegro will play against Vukovi Zeta in Golubovci and is hoping to win this game.
