Rather predictable result when second ranked Lyon (12-2) defeated at home 5th ranked Roche (6-8) 85-69 on Sunday. Lyon looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international center Sandrine Gruda (193-1987) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. The former international guard Marine Johannes (174-1995) chipped in 16 points and 7 assists. Spanish point guard Ana Suarez (170-1987) produced 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and German center Luisa Geiselsoeder (192-2000) added 12 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Lyon have an impressive five-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Bourges.
