The most surprising game was another loss of top-ranked M.Ashdod (15-2) at the home court on Monday night. Hosts were defeated by fifth ranked Ramat Hasharon (10-6) 68-57. Ramat Hasharon outrebounded M.Ashdod 45-33 including 32 on the defensive glass. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward Alisia Jenkins (186-1994, college: S.Florida) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 15 rebounds for the winners and swingman Jazmine Jones (183-1996, college: Louisville) chipped in 13 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Ramat Hasharon players scored in double figures. Guard Shatori Walker-Kimbrough (180-1996, college: Maryland) responded with 19 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Natisha Hiedeman (173-1997, college: Marquette) scored 16 points and 4 assists. Ramat Hasharon moved-up to fourth place, which they share with H.Rishon LZ. M.Ashdod at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. Ramat Hasharon is looking forward to face league's second-placed E.Ramla at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. M.Ashdod will play against M.Ramat Gan in Ramat Hen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
