Rather expected game when 6th ranked Nassjo (13-14) was smashed on the road by third ranked Norrkoping (19-8) 99-76 on Thursday. Strangely Nassjo outrebounded Norrkoping 30-7 including a 24-6 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for the former international power forward Nicholas Spires (210-1994) who led the winners and scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. The former international guard Tim Schuberg (188-1995) accounted for 8 points and 6 assists for the winning side. American forward Andre Wesson (198-1997, college: Ohio St., agency: Players Group) came up with 24 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import center Dartaye Ruffin (205-1991, college: Drexel) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Nassjo in the defeat. Nassjo's coach Joakim Kallman gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Defending champion maintains third place with 19-8 record having three points less than leader Boras. Loser Nassjo keeps the sixth position with 14 games lost. Norrkoping will meet league's second-placed Jamtland in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Nassjo will play against Fryshuset (#11) and hope to secure a win.
