Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked Porrino (8-12) was outscored on the road by second ranked Marin (16-4) 90-58 on Saturday. American forward Dramel Hogan (194-1989, college: Rochester, MI) nailed a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winning side and Dutch forward Kevin van Wijk (203-1989, college: Valpo) accounted for 20 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Marin players scored in double figures. Venezuelan guard Terry Bardasz (188-2004) came up with 11 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Iker Besada (180-1995) added 7 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Porrino in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Marin have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain second place with 16-4 record having just three points less than leader Huelva CD, which they share with Gijon. Porrino lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Pinta Castell. Marin will meet Gijon Basket (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game.
