There was an upset in Valencia where higher ranked Palma (13-8) was rolled over by tenth ranked Godella (8-14) 87-66 on Saturday. Point guard Josep Perez (184-1994) stepped up and scored 24 points and 6 assists for the winners and forward Sergio de Larrea (197-2005) chipped in 23 points (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). The best for the losing side was Montenegrin center Milan Suskavcevic (209-1997) with 15 points and 7 rebounds and Serbian forward Viktor Kovacevic (203, college: West Liberty) scored 7 points and 11 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Newly promoted Godella maintains tenth place with 8-14 record. Loser Palma keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. Godella will meet L'Hospitalet (#12) on the road in the next round. Palma will play against the league's second-placed Menorca (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
