An interesting game was also a 21-point tough road defeat of 4th ranked PAOK in a game in Patras versus Promitheas (#7) 90-69. Promitheas looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American guard Joe Thomasson (193-1993, college: Wright St., agency: Octagon Europe) nailed 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import point guard Anthony Cowan Jr (183-1997, college: Maryland) accounted for 11 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Five Promitheas players scored in double figures. Dutch guard Yannick Franke (197-1996) came up with 17 points and American point guard Jalen Riley (184-1993, college: ETSU) added 9 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) respectively for PAOK in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Promitheas (10-7) moved-up to third place, which they share with Peristeri and AEK. Loser PAOK dropped to the sixth position with eight games lost. They share it with Aris. Promitheas will meet league's leader Olympiacos in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. PAOK will play against the league's second-placed Panathinaikos (#2) and hope to secure a win.
